CH.89: If you were to categorize or describe the style of your artwork, what would it be and why?
IG: I don’t like to categorize my self or my artwork, but I feel that my style is about the journey of finding freedom through self expression.
CH.89: Where do you draw your inspiration from?
IG: Nature, especially the ocean. Also, I really enjoy looking through old photo books and magazines.
CH.89: Can you talk a little bit about what your creative thought process is like when starting a new project/ piece of artwork?

CH.89: When starting out an artistic task, do you think it is better to have a particular direction/set plan guiding your way? Or, is it better to act on impulse and go from there?

CH.89: What do you think of technology in terms of being a useful tool for artists today?
IG: Right now its a bit overkill for me, too many distractions. I like to get away from all the computer screens and be out in nature in the present moment. Keeping it simple.
CH.89: Do you think being an artist allows you to view the world differently from those who don’t follow creative paths?
IG: I think people will have differing views of the world regardless of whether or not they chose a creative path. People are different and I think that’s good. If everyone was the same I think things would get bland and stale.

IG: Yes, I enjoy traveling very much. So far, NYC or Grover Beach, CA.
